Getting to Bryher is part of your holiday experience…

Scilly may feel a world apart, but getting to Bryher couldn’t be easier, with the option to take the Scillonian ferry from Penzance or fly with Skybus from Land's End, Newquay or Exeter.

Even bringing your camping gear isn't a problem; once you've checked in your luggage at Penzance Quay or at the airport, you don't need to think about it again until you get to the campsite - we take care of everything, and your bags will usually arrive on the site before you do!

If you have any questions at all about the journey to Scilly, please take a look at the Isles of Scilly Travel website or contact us.

Tractor Pickup

When you get to Bryher, you’ll be met on either the Quay or low tide ‘Bar’ by one of the Campsite team, as long as you’ve let us know your arrival details. Look out for the big red tractor!

It would be much appreciated if you could help form a ‘human chain’ to get everyone’s luggage off the boat – many hands make light work! Your luggage will then be taken to the campsite by tractor and trailer; it usually arrives on the campsite before you do! We will always drop your bags straight to your pitch.

The campsite is only a short walk from either arrival point – just ask the tractor driver if you’re not sure where you’re going.

Your Luggage

A small fee per family group is charged for luggage transfer from St Mary’s to Bryher, return. This is added to your campsite bill and passed to Tresco Boats. This charge is not made for backpackers.

However you're travelling, there are luggage limits, so be sure to check the luggage allowances. Please make sure you pack carefully and ensure you can actually lift your luggage! No piece of luggage should exceed 20kg and excessively heavy items will not be lifted.

We highly recommend you label all your bags with your name, contact details and holiday destination of Bryher Campsite. It's incredibly rare for luggage to go astray, and generally if it does it will just be on another island. If it's well labelled we can generally get it back within a few hours.

Sorry, but due to the location of the site and the nature of the tracks on Bryher, we do not allow trailers.
