Frequently Asked Questions
Sorry - we do not allow dogs (or other animals!) on the campsite.
We don't allocate pitches, so you're welcome to pitch anywhere on the site. We have six camping fields so there's plenty of space - and choice, whether you want to overlook the Atlantic or Cromwell's Castle, find a quiet corner to yourself or pitch next to friends.
There's nothing like the smell of a barbecue to complete your camping holiday, and we are more than happy for you to use barbecues on the site. We do ask that you are careful to avoid damage to the grass, and that you properly extinguish the barbecue after you have finished. Please never use a barbecue inside your tent.
You are welcome to use a fire bowl, but again please be sure to minimise damage to the grass. We do not allow open fires as these cause a serious fire risk due to the peaty ground on the islands.
If you would like to enjoy an open fire, you are welcome to do so on any of the beaches on Bryher, but please make sure you clean up after yourself to keep the island looking beautiful.
We charge a flat rate per person per night, and do not charge dependent on the size or number of tents. However, please do consider others on the campsite and also consider the luggage limits on Skybus and Scillonian - and make sure you can lift your own bags! No single bag should weigh over 20kg.
No, sorry. Due to the location of the site and the nature of the tracks on Bryher, we do not allow trailers.
We don't provide WiFi on site, by popular demand from our campers (you'll find a better connection without it!)
The islands have excellent 4G phone signal on most major networks (Vodafone, EE, O2 etc) and although phone signal on the campsite is patchy, you can get a good signal within a few moments' walk.
If you need to log on you can find free WiFi at Fraggle Rock bar, Bryher Shop and the Hell Bay Hotel.
We welcome people with disabilities and will always do all we can to make life easier for you. However, due to the location of Bryher and the nature of the campsite it may be unsuitable for guests with some physical disabilities. Please telephone us (01720 422068) or email us and we will be more than happy to discuss your needs.
